[Entertainment District] Burger Brats
Charles and I went to Burger Brats to grab a quick bite before we went to see Handel’s Messiah.
The store was completely deserted when we walked in. I was a little hesitant and actually thought of going somewhere else.
Charles was really tempted to order the Hangover burger – 3 6-ounce patties, 3 slices of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of peameal bacon (YUM!), and an egg! Thank goodness he exercised some self-control and went with the Burger Brats classic. I added a slice of cheese for my classic burger.

The patties were cooked to order and it was sizzling hot when we got the burgers. I was a little disappointed when I noticed the burger buns were cold. I miss the warmly toasted buns from Shake Shack!
The burgers were good, but not mind-blowing good. The patties were slightly charred on the outside, which gave the burgers a nice smokey flavour, and it was juicy on the inside. The lettuce, tomato, pickle, and red onion gave the burgers a nice crunch and balanced well with the meat. I also liked that the burgers weren’t overly greasy. Charles really liked the burgers as well and wanted to get more!
I’d say that the burgers here are pretty good and would definitely come back here for a quick tasty bite if we are catching a show or concert in the entertainment district. Perhaps we will try other burgers next time.

I love how it says “Have you had your hangover today” haha, I await to read your hangover burger post if you ever try it!
I plan to try it next time we are in the area! Probably a good idea to try it after a concert rather than before though!
