[Aurora] The Chicken Place
Charles and I ordered some take-out from The Chicken Place during our closet makeover weekend. We’ve never had Portuguese churrasco before so we didn’t really know what to expect of the food.

The food turned out to be surprisingly good and fresh!
I waited for about 15 minutes for our order – whole chicken with medium piri piri sauce, small rice pilaf, and small Parisienne potatoes. I will be sure to call ahead next time.
The chicken was freshly prepared and grilled. It smelled amazing from the grill! The chicken tasted great – well-marinated with spices and very juicy. I didn’t care much for the piri piri sauce as it was really greasy. We both loved the rice and potato. Rice was light, but went well with the chicken. The potatoes were delicious. It was very moist and flavourful. I am not a huge fan of potatoes (other than fries), but I definitely loved how the parisienne potatoes were prepared.
The chicken was definitely different from any rotisserie chicken you can buy from a grocery store. The amount of preparation and labour, as well as the taste, makes the chicken very unique and worthwhile. The Chicken Place offers a great selection of sides and menu items other than chicken. We will for sure go back for more take-out!
